Help me please - I would like to hear the sound of water in my garden - just a small feature - however for various reasons it's not possible to have a powered feature, Was just wondering if anyone has a small solar only powered feature in their garden ?

I do, a very small one in a container pond. It works really well though is inclined to lose water when the wind blows so needs topping up quite a bit after a windy day.
Mine is like these (the type without cables and separate solar panels):

I'm following this as I have been looking for a solar water feature for some time. Can't find one I like!

I had one but got rid of it as I was constantly cleaning the slime out of it.

We had a lovely one for the last 5 years until it finally gave up. It was from Homebase I think (a gift) and was 3 blue jugs that poured into each other and into a blue bowl. Not only was the sound of running water lovely, it was like a spa for little birds, and would so often have blue tits, sparrows and robins splashing about and drinking from it. Sat in a sunny spot on our patio and then packed into the shed over the winter.

I would replace it but we now have a 3 year old who would consider it a toy so not worth it for now!

Very like this one but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t as expensive!

I've been looking at these too. Do they need a lot of sun? We are in Scotland and I am a little worried that even in full sun it may only work a few times a year!

Am also on the lookout for one of these!

Ours was on a south facing patio and whenever it was sunny (even if just for moment) and the sun hit the solar panel it would work - it definitely required direct sun though. Generally the advice is not to leave them out over the winter so only had ours out April-October and it felt like it was on a lot. Probably because we only tend to be out in the garden for any length of time when the weather was nice, so it would be working if we were sat out.
