I'm pretty clueless on all fronts re gardening but I'm trying to make the garden pretty this year.
Can anyone ID this flower for me please?

Ranunculus, I would think?

Does look like a Ronanculus... Do you have a picture of its leaves?

I’d agree it’s a Ranunculus. They can be a bit frost tender, so usually planted in late spring, and lifted in the autumn, unless you live in a very mild part of the country.
