Can anyone help me save my poor Garry plant?

I bought my Garry elliptica nearly a year ago, he is in a big pot. I was told that was ok. He looked amazing through summer and autumn but the last couple of months he looks sad and neglected. His catkins are all dry and dull and falling off. I have tried feeding him liquid feed but that hasn’t done anything’. I don’t think I would be able to repot him as he is big and heavy already...: is it normal for them to go a bit rough, catkins fall and come back?!?!

We have one. I don't know much about them but I think they get big? I do know wind makes the foliage look dreadful, so they are good to grow up against something protected from the wind.

Ours was moved to against a wall I never see unless I go to drive. It appears to have put on a lot of growth finally after a could of years.

Yes it is big and it is positioned against a wall. It looks so bedraggled!!

Yeh, I'm sure the wind makes them like that. Makes the foliage brown and crispy.

No signs of Vine Weevil? No nibbling?

@Icenii no nibbles that I can see but a spotted colour on the leaves?
