Soil types needed and where to get them

We have recently removed a large garden pond and some paving and want to have a wildflower area with maybe one tree.
Advise online says the soil should be low fertility for the wildflowers but I think it probably needs to be a different type where the tree goes.
I've found some low fertility soil but I'm not sure what other type to get. There's no soil currently at all.

What tree will you be getting?

A fruit tree, apple or pear probably.

Does it need to be different? Just use the same soil but mix in some fertilizer in the planting pocket when you put in the tree. Then apply a bit of fertilizer annually to the tree area only.

Thanks, that makes sense! I'm a bit of a novice with gardening.
