What are my trees

We moved into a new house last year and had to have someone come to reduce the crown and prune a silver birch. He tidied up some others and told me what they were but I’ve forgotten.

Can anyone identify them from just the branches and buds?

I know I have a silver birch and a magnolia one side but what are these?

Nos 1 and 3 are the same tree, I take it. Bark and growth habit looks like an ornamental apple.

Nos 2 and 4 have opposite, not alternate, buds, which narrows the field. Bark of no 4 could be a shrubby honeysuckle.

Don’t know what no 2 is but whoever pruned it last year did it no favours

My guess for number 2 would be a lilac

I thought the bark was too rough and the new shoots too pinky brown for lilac? My experience of being brutish with lilac is they reshoot, if at all, from lower down, rather than produce a mass of water shoots from the top.

1 and 3 look like a cherry tree to me. Too early without leaves to guess what the others are. I did wonder if 2 is a flowering currant.

MereDint yes fair point about the colour of the shoots. I did wonder about dogwood when I saw they were that pinkish colour, but the shape of the lower stems made me think of lilac and ours does have similar bark. No experience of such extreme pruning to know about the regrowth!
