getting rid of moles?

Has anyone successfully got rid of moles in their garden?

DH is getting increasingly agitated about the molehills that have appeared on 'his' lawn.

I would prefer something that is not too environmentally damaging. He wants to gas them ....

PIL used to have a real issue with them and had THE most hilarious method of getting rid of them.
Apparently men's urine gets rid of them so FIL used to pee in a bucket in the garage and poured it over the mole hills. I was in stitches when I heard about this but it actually worked! After a couple of weeks of this amusing rigmarole, they never returned! 😂

He can pee directly as we are not overlooked by any neighbours.

Love this idea! Certainly don't allow him to kill them, and humane traps don't work for moles as they can die of hypothermia in the trap, and if you reallocate them they often don't survive. Weeing is the way forward!

This made me chuckle that your DH can "pee directly" as you're not overlooked.

Neither were the in-laws but MIL used to shriek "Alan, you are not going outside with your manly bits flopping about for all and sundry to witness". I could not contain my hysteria!

I remember years ago some advice on this. Someone buried one of this cards that open and play happy birthday and the moles hate it so leave.

They are absolute bastards, will tell my DH to try the pee thing though!
