North facing entrance

I’m looking to smarten up the front of my house with some pot plants. It’s north east facing and gets the morning sun, but otherwise is in shade. I’m imagining a large medium and small pot of something! I normally have a few pots of spring bulbs, but I’d like something bigger. The front garden is only small and is all laid to gravel
Otherwise, so it is crying out for something living!

Shade-tolerant clematis in a pot, or a honeysuckle? We have a lonicera alseumioides in a pot in very shady part shade round the side of the house and it’s doing well. Quite a few clematis are also shade tolerant, as are bog standard pansies which are really liking our north-west facing pots in the front doorway.

I have a climbing hydrangea. It’s shade-tolerant and self-clinging.

Bay will live anywhere - nice both as a lollipop and as a normal bush.
