Firstly, I have an 8ft tall Trachycarpus Fortunei palm tree in my front garden, I want to get rid of it while it's still relatively small. How would I best go about this and would it be worth trying to sell it?
Once the tree has gone, I would like to replace it so that my living room window is somewhat concealed from the street, are there any small palm trees that would grow no more than about 8ft or any other attractive small tree or plant that would be low maintenance?
There is about 12ft of space in the garden between my window and the footpath.
