Relocating washing line and screening view

Looking for advice on reorganising our garden. The main concern is trying to do something to distract from the 3 storey building that has just gone up 5m from our back fence 😭 Everything is up for grabs, all that can't be changed are the three trees and the pond (because I built it myself!).

I do love a long washing line, but happy to swap for rotary if we can hide it from view. Thinking of possibly putting some kind of blocking thing half way down, maybe hedge or trellis with things growing up it. The garden faces south, and is about 50x8m. The swing set and trampoline can be moved around, laundry pole is a massive 2.5m rusty old thing installed into concrete but I'm sure it could be dug out. The far end is pretty shady and will be more so now with the big ugly building. There's also a slab path which goes down the middle and stops by the first apple tree - can be removed. We also pondered a gazebo type of thing in the back corner facing the house, or maybe halfway down between the trees. The sunniest place for a washing line would be on the left, current location does get a bit shady after a while because of tree and tall hedge down the RH side.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
