Inspiration for my window boxes, please!

I have two window boxes at the front of my house. It is North facing.

Usually at this time of year I re-plant it with bulbs for the spring, some ivy and winter-flowering pansies.

They look lovely - but I'm bored of always doing the same things. What else can I plant that will have some colour over the winter months?

Hellebores if they are reasonably big boxes.

Winter aconites?

Christmas box!

no ideas but will be watching thread. my boxes are shocking at the moment last year i left the geraniums in and they just kept flowering. have only just stopped now, but expecting a third year from them is a bit much i think...
