Starting seedlings in mini greenhouse?

I am desperately short of windowsills and also have cats who climb everywhere and would be prone to knocking things off so I'm not really sure how I'm going to get any of my seeds off to a start inside.

I have just bought a mini greenhouse (like a set of shelves covered in plastic with a zip...) Will covered seed trays in these work or is that going to be too cold still? not thinking about starting any off for a little while but wondering if it will be worth it or if I need to start thinking more creatively about my window spaces...

Depends what you’re growing. I only start tomatoes, peppers and courgette/squash inside. That takes up all my windowsills anyway.

Everything else does fine in the greenhouse.

And I’m in Scotland so have a shorter growing season. You’d probably be fine outdoors if you’re further south. Just make sure you bring them indoors overnight if there’s going to be a late frost.

I think it’s tomatoes I’m mainly worried about as I tend to start them earlier... also have some sweet peas I didn’t get round to sowing in October I’d like to get going soonish... never grown sweet peas from seed before but I gather they’re quite easy?

I’m in London so it’s quite mild ... I may try to find some room indoors for tomatoes at least but put some outside too , to see what happens!
