1/2 of mine have been out since November.
A full 40cm away, the other half are just recently in flower.

(Same variety, planted together. Most odd.)

Havent seen any here(Scotland) but there are buds on the Whitebeam tree.

My rhubarb is putting out new leaves!

Stompythedinosaur · 24/01/2021 22:08

We've got snowdrops all over the garden, but since they are pushing through the snow I'm not convinced it is quite Spring yet!

Belinda554 · 25/01/2021 07:48

It’s minus 3...😂that’s not a spring temperature. I also have rhubarb sprouting.

DearTeddyRobinson · 25/01/2021 07:49

I found this little fellow yesterday. In the snow!

Oh lovely! I’m in the south west and we’ve had the first brave daffs out for weeks, but the snowdrops have been a bit slower than recent years. They’re well and truly here now though

snowdrops are a winter flower, not a spring one.

DinosaurDiana · 25/01/2021 07:57

Snowdrops have been out in the park since December.

wowfudge · 25/01/2021 15:03

I'm in the frozen north of Derbyshire and my expensive snowdrops in the green I planted a couple of years ago are coming up and there are going to be lots of flowers instead of the one they produced last year.

Lots of bulbs peeking through the snow.

Redsquirrel5 · 25/01/2021 17:58

I have had some out since the beginning of January. It certainly doesn’t feel like spring up here. We’ve had three falls of snow, a flood and heavy frost in the last two weeks.

viques · 27/01/2021 10:49

Another sign. The robin is collecting building material. Nothing like a bit of avian refurb to brighten the day.

It’s days like this I really miss my old cat, she was very hairy and a twenty minute groom with her furminator provided enough cat fluff for lots of little bird nests. I used to stuff peanut feeders with it and hang it up to watch the fun, it was like a Black Friday sale.

But of an insult to the cats dignity, that GrinGrinGrin

Daffodil leaves are coming up in clumps in the lawn. And the witch hazel is bursting into flower

Likewise, we've had snow (sledging - yay!), floods and severe frost in the last couple of weeks. Most definitely still winter and will be till end Feb. But the signs of new life are there.
