Raised bed... ideas for flowers not veg

I have a raised bed out my kitchen window, usually grow veg, this year I want colourful annual flowers in there, not really for picking / cut flowers, just to enjoy looking at. Can be up to a couple of foot tall at the back. Give me some recommendations with a long flowering season? Xx

Calendula flowers for ages if you keep dead heading them! I also love cerinthe, such a cool looking flower.

Malva moschata, especially the white flowered one, really long flowering season. Corn marigold - still in flower now despite the frosts. Scabious - bees love it. Yellow or orange welsh poppies.

Couple of dahlias. Love mine.

All of the above as well as Cosmos, Californian poppies, cornflowers, and Sweet Williams.

You could also go with companion planting. I believe marigold can deter some pests, so could be grown with veg in the same plot.

Sorry, misread that you are debating flowers or veg!
Dahlias are colourful, come up annually can have a long flower life. Some are very tall.

Cosmos from seed. Mine were still flowering in November

My favourites is annual cornflower.

Sarah Raven website would give some good ideas. Annuals that are easy are cerinthe, calendula, cosmos, cornflowers. Night scented stock. You could just sow a box of annual wildflower seed.

I love gladioli. Got to love a glad.

I’d probably put some parsley and coriander in too. Lovely and useful.

I grew linum grandiflorum "bright eyes" last year, from seed sown straight in the ground. Flowered for months. Didn't get a good distance pic but they were lovely. Around 2 foot high I'd say.
