Sarah Raven voucher. What would you buy?

What should I buy? 10.00 voucher for expiring soon. Also have another 20.00 Christmas money given to me to spend on our garden which is new, a bit daunting.

I love dahlias so I would pick one of those -maybe the ‘black jack’ as it’s so striking, & lily of the valley, as it was my grandmother’s favourite flower.

I bought some tools - the ergo snips and pruners.

I bought some seeds with my voucher as they were all very reasonable I thought! I love anything that naturalises so am excited to plant out.

Thank you! Have been spending an unhealthy amount if time browsing through the catalogue! If I hadn't already bought sweet pea seeds I'd've gone for them. In the end opted for a chic 'n' choc honeysuckle to put in a big pot, and some cosmos. Has anyone grown dahlias in a pot? Would love Sarah to pop round and help me come up with a planting plan!

What did you buy in the end?
I’ve just bought lots of veg seeds and a kneeler with her and I’ve got some free pruners as I was referred by a friend.

I grow dahlias in pots. The pots are large and deep, with good drainage, good watering and feeding when in flower they do well. Mine were flowering well into November.
I usually lift and store the tubers, but because of the late flowering I’ve left them in the pots. It will be interesting to see if they survive. I planned to buy some more anyway.

I bought veg seeds with mine.

I like dahlias too so already had the 'Bishops Children' dahlia seeds which perform very well every year (I cant seem to store them over the winter satisfactorily, but these grow so well it doesnt matter)

I've just ordered some lily bulbs to plant for summer. The three lily collection is for succession flowering, so should bloom for quite a while. I'll probably put them on in containers on the patio for the first year then plant them out.

I love lilies but understand they can be poisonous to cats? Will definitely go down the dahlia route now, thank you for the inspiration.
