Am so bored by the ficus and ferns and Cordylines in the garden centres. Does anyone knoW where to find a tall feature houseplant for a sunny lounge?

Am Trying to find something really different and unusual, and yes expensive, as a prezzy. Thanks

I use Patch Plants

I've just bought from patch plants too. It hasn't arrived yet, and the descriptions are almost unbearably twee but they have a really nice selection.

I bought 7 plants from Bakker.com they're brilliant.

Have a look on Facebook or Instagram for independent local house plant shops. I have two close to me that I spend way too much money in. It is a little bit of a growth industry last couple of years. You might have luck finding someone on Instagram - that's where my favourite plant shop mainly advertisers. Great plants, great service, personal, local businesses.

My local - by way of example;

Quite a few of my bigger plants are from ikea but we also have an amazing garden centre nearby with a fabulous houseplant section

Crocus is excellent for outdoor plants (had a couple of really good perennials from them) so it would be worth investigating all their houseplants, too. I think they had a Black Friday offer but not sure of the details.

I got a variegated snake plant from Bakker and when the sun shines on it the leaves look stunning.
