What shall we do with this gap?

We've got a two metre gap in our hedge, currently barricaded against the toddler diving into next door...

We need a temporary something there. We're going to try and move next year so while ideally we'd rip the old hedge out as it's starting to get diseased (and the neighbours next door don't maintain their side so I hate looking at it) that's not an option right now.

What can we put here that's a little more attractive and secure but not too costly?

A ready made woven willow panel?

Expandable trellis perhaps. Quite cheap and not unattractive - some are made of willow. Then you could grow a climber over it, which you could enjoy before you move.
