We've inherited this tree on our driveway. It was a vibrant green in summer/early autumn. It did have a couple of straggly offshoots out of the top which have been removed. I'm a novice especially with trees and shrubs. Any ideas please?

I'd like to know what it is so I can care for it properly. Thank you

it would be fab if it was a Horse Chestnut

It's certainly not a horse chestnut but if you want one of those then get a conker and plant it next Autumn. I didn't notice ours as the DCs sneakily planted it behind something else. One day I realised we had a 3 foot horse chestnut - it's now been relocated (with permission) to the LA arboretum where it can grow to it's heart's content.

That's a good shout. I did that in my mums garden when I was a child Grin
