Proper papyrus is not hardy. I grow it in a pot and it spends summer outside in a container of water. In winter and it stands On a saucer in the conservatory kept just moist.

If you mean Cyperus alternifolius, it’s not very hardy outdoors unless you live in a very mild area. Indoors, treat as Trethew says, standing in a saucer of water, as these are basically bog plants.

A Cyperus papyrus - I want it for indoors anyway will put it out in summer to grow in the sun, just wondering if it will survive inside... creating a little Egyptian corner with a bird of paradise and papyrus and some other exorcist not sure yet
