Saw this at a newly planted up English heritage place yesterday but the staff couldn't remember it's name!

I thought it was a salvia but now I'm not so sure?

I think it's painted sage. Also comes in white and pink.

It’s Clary, ornamental sage, as previously mentioned it also comes in pink and white.
It’s an annual and lovely sown in drifts.
