New Shed Help

I've just had a new shed and it has been treated with a water based preservative. I was told by the supplier to treat it now with an oil base preservative. Do I have to? And if I do can I still use something like the cuprinol garden shades after that or will the oil prevent the paint from sticking?

I may be completely wrong but I wouldn't use an oil based preservative as this will effect the colour of the garden shades. Would it even adhere?

Anyway I painted my shed yesterday with garden shades, lovely paint, looks fab Grin

Thanks @McWeedie, that's what I'm thinking will happen too.
I'm going to have a nosey in wilko shortly to see if they have what I'm after. Hopefully we'll get it done before this nice weather leaves us!
