Stinking iris? The berries are poisonous.

Another vote for stinking iris. You'll smell why when you cut it back for winter!!

Googled it and that's definitely it. Do I need to dead head it or anything? (I know nothing about gardening!)

You can just cut it down to the ground before winter. It will grow again next year. You may find the RHS website helpful. They have a good plant finder for IDing stuff and a good search engine for finding out how to care for things

I have a wildly successful stinking iris. I've never cut it down; it seems quite happy.
