WHITE PEBBLES?

Looking to full up some large flower beds with white pebbles, but don't want them going yellow. Anyone bought any that haven't discoloured.

I had this - the garden was shady and it was algae I think or at least a greenish deposit - short of lifting them all and giving them a scrub I don't know how to clean them- anything that cleans the algae probably kills the plants.
