Shallow pot for indoor ivy

I am looking for a bowl style planter for indoor ivy, that can be delivered asap as my current pot is too small and I am worried it will die if I wait too long (already killed one so this is my second shot at ivy!). I can only find a few on ebay or amazon that are generally 16-17cm in dia and tend to be around 5.5cm deep. Will this be too shallow?

Should be fine, but it will need a drainage hole in the bottom and a drip tray. If you want a shallow one, then look at bonsai pots.
