Cutting boarder

Hi

I'm putting in a new boarder and I'm thinking of doing a flower cutting boarder to pick flowers from once a week.

Has anyone done this? Does it look rubbish as a boarder when you're picking? What should I put in it if I do it??

Have a look at Sarah Raven’s website for cut-flower and foliage ideas.
I have had excellent lily bulbs from Peter Nyssen that has been going strong for about 8 years, cutting in June/July/August. Net for the awful lily beetles hate them so much!! Also have a look at the parrot tulips they are great for cutting. Maybe a lilac bush? I grow bulbs for cutting in rows in my veg patch, a bit unsightly for a border. You can also force bulbs for Christmas/January, makes a nice gift too.
