Buying plants/flowers during lockdown

I want to buy some flowers for an upcoming occasion, but the supermarket ones seem to have dropped in quality & my local florist has shut down. Does anyone know what's happening to floristry, generally, to plant growers & wholesalers?

Can anyone recommend a way to get just a nice bouquet? Or a good flowering plant? I need to get a delivery, rather than visiting a shop or garden centre.

I always use M&S or Waitrose, never sent a duff one yet.

Bloom and Wild every time for me.

Bloom and Wild have always been very good when I've used them. As have Next who do plants and flowers for delivery

I’ve used bloom and wild throughout lockdown and quality hadn’t dropped
I had flowers for my birthday from M&S, quality us great
Supermarket wise, I often buy lillies fit my mum from coop and I’m impressed with them (not Tuesday other flowers just lillies every fortnight!

RHS Garden magazine had an article about British growers who've been stepping into the breach, flowers from the farm

Thanks for all the answers - very useful!

Another vote for bloom and wild here, I've been having 2 a month for over a year and only ever had one issue. I called them and they sent a replacement bouquet out next day.

If you do decide to go for them feel free to use this code for £10 off.

I get £10 off from it too but then once you've ordered you'll get your own code to pass on to others Grin
