Any good or bad stories at moment? Just ordered a load of plants and friend look horrified and said she’d had a couple of really bad deliveries recently.

I find them overpriced and not as good quality as specialist nurseries in general but they do have a lot of special offers that are excellent value.

I also find them quite disorganised, I've had quite a few incorrect orders (which you don't necessarily find out for a long time if you've ordered bulbs or a plant that isn't blooming). I've also had a few poor quality plants.

BUT, in my experience, they are very good at honouring their 30 day guarantee and will replace or refund. They have also replaced incorrect bulb orders for me long after the order was placed (more than 6 months). Some plants also come with a guarantee to bloom in the first year. I feel confident ordering from them because they have always put things right for me.

I had a very poor experience with them this year and won't buy from them again. Two months to inform me the fruit plants I ordered wouldn't be delivered (so I missed my chance to grow them this season as it was too late to seek another supplier); three clematis, one of which was dead on arrival and the other two tiny and in very poor condition; a set of tender fuchsia "giant plugs" of which two were dead on arrival, others struggling, and overall only 6 put of 10 survived. And only two of those have bloomed- and they are intended to be annuals!

Very slow to respond to queries and no refund /replacement offered, but I couldn't be bothered chasing it beyond the initial complaint tbh. All the other online plant shops I've used have been brilliant.

Really variable quality. Tbh I only buy from their special offers now - sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s not, but their special offers are so cheap I don’t mind taking the risk.
Their communication has been really poor though and it’s very random when things actually arrive.

I am not shy to complain Grin I always email with a photo to [email protected]. I have always had a response within 24 hours and a replacement dispatched immediately. I am guessing you ordered the same 3 clematis plug plant offer I did. One of mine withered and died immediately but they sent a much better and larger replacement.

I am always specific that I would like a replacement under their 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee though. Maybe those are the magic words...

But I agree with Remy. I tend to only buy their special offers because the risk is worth it for the price.

I had good service from them earlier this year. They dispatched seeds in a timely way, and summer bulbs which are flowering well right now. They didn't send the compost I requested, as they were waiting for stock, but in the meantime, a local garden centre reopened do I didn't run out as I feared, and T&M was easy to cancel and I got a refund promptly.

They're not my first choice, but I would buy from them again if it suited me.

Probably the same offer. The quality was truly abysmal, and yes, I should have gone after a refund (it took them a very long time to refund the original item that they cancelled, btw). I am shocked a company would put their reputation at risk by sending stuff like that out. Definitely will never, ever use them again.

I found them OK. I prefer the propagation place. It's a good social company who employs people needing support.

Very friendly and happy to answer messages
