Looking for some inspiration and I've uploaded some pictures to help my explanation..

We are in the process of doing up our garden and we have today cleared the area above the wall - first picture is a before picture, second is after. (We've filled the brown bin, so cant get rid of it all yet, so excuse the piles of branches)..

Really just looking for some ideas as to what we can do with this space. A lot of the neighbours have let this grow out wild, but we're keen to avoid that - don't want to block the view behind... looking for something fairly easily maintainable, and happy to spend a bit of money to get it right. The obvious idea is to dig it out, level it the best we can and then just cover it with stones, but keen to hear any other ideas!

I think that you want to cover the ground with ... groundcover plants!
Some suggestion here from the RHS.

Can you easily get up there to maintain things or not really? Would be great to make a feature of it.

I would level best you can and then do triangular sections of grey slate, small white pebbles. Use a decking board to create the sections. Lay them flat not like a planter

Plant hardy/ cool looking shrubs and grasses. Super low maintenance (other than a chop once every couple of years maybe)

we did similar with our front garden.it looks great and never have to touch it
