Virginia creeper .. will it regrow

Our garden borders some woodland which has Virginia creeper which has over the years come into our. garden and looks lovely. I've trained it over some trellis and trees. A developer has bought some of the land an without warning cleared a large area. I've now noticed the creeper turning red which is far too early so I think it's dying as it's root have been cut. Will it recover? I'm so sad

There's a Virginia Creeper on the wall in my work's car park. It's been cut back to the ground a few times but it still grew back.

Impossible to get rid of in experience, pretty sure it will grow back.

Mine is turning red now. Its not early

My husband once tried his utmost to kill a scraggly unlovely Virginia Creeper. He cut and he hacked and hecsawed

He attacked that bugger. It grew back and it was gorgeous

We have it trained over a small wall. It will go red overnight and a day later all the leaves fall off. Been doing this for 20 years!

Will it regrow? Hell yes. I pulled mine out this year and put weed killer on the remaining bits. Its starting to regrow. I actually loved it but it was starting to damage parts of the wall and fence. Its not as gnarly as ivy but it still caused problems.

It's pretty hard to kill!

Ah so it should e turning red now? It's gone red and lots of leave have dropped off though

Ours is getting a tinge if red. Normally goes mostly red over a couple of days and by the end of that week they have all fallen off!
