Ideas for using slate slab in garden

Hello.

I've got a smooth slate hearth in the garage that we removed along with a gas fireplace. It's not needed in the house but it's fairly big and solid and I was thinking maybe we could make some use of it in the garden. Any ideas welcome!

Just to clarify we sold the gas fire, not planning to put that in the garden!

You could make a water feature. If you put it vertically against a wall and had a large container of water with a pump underneath, you could pump the water to the top and let it run down.
If you’ve not got electricity nearby, solar pumps are very efficient.
