Hi,

I have the builders in putting in drainage in the garden to eliminate it getting water logged. Majority of the water comes from the wall on the left hand side. They have put in the water drainage as per the enclosed picture.

In my head I am thinking should they not have put the drainage against the side wall and back wall. All across walls.

Please can some experienced gardener tell me they are doing it correctly and that I am being paranoid.

The white lines are correct. The blue wouldn’t drain properly. Good drains look like tree roots or rivers from a aerial photograph, they have to follow the natural gradients of the ground.

Agree, the first photo is correct. Is that they have done (a bit confused by the two photos).
