I need a gardener to Epsom. Any recommendations please? How much should it cost?

Thank you!

Have you asked your neighbours? That often a good way to get a recommendation.

I approached mine as I saw him working on an immaculate front garden.

I’m over in Sutton and the rates seem to be £20-30 p/h. The gardener comes with his van full of equipment and takes things like grass cuttings away.

We dont know any of the neighbours just moving in to the vicinity.

But will be on the look out.

Thanks

I’m sure neighbours won’t find it strange if you ask for gardener/cleaner/window cleaner etc recommendations as soon as you’ve moved in.

You can also ask the vendors for details as often people ‘inherit’ the gardener if they want to.

It can be a great way to get to know your neighbours, asking for recommendations locally.

If you use the Nextdoor website for your area, you could ask for recommendations on there. Or a local Facebook page.

Just seen this. I remember your posts about house hunting in Epsom and I suggested some. Name changed since. Glad you found a house.

I use Rainbow Gardening. Not cheap, works out £30 per man per hour, but they work so hard and never stop. They have their own vans and equipment. They also do landscape stuff to, trellis, fences etc.

Dear @SoosanCarter I wonder which house you recommended and if it is the one we bought. I might owe you a coffee at our lovely garden if that is the case:)

Indeed we came across RB as we were driving, contacted them and waiting for an offer. Great to hear your reference.

Thank you for your support. As you know we are new to the area and is proving to be a stressful move with builders, kids etc.

Very best
