Has anyone got a solar powered water feature?

I’ve got a space at the top of a small rockery that needs something on it. I don’t want to put a plant in a pot there because I will never remember to water it, there’s no soil. I thought a solar water feature might do the trick but I think it may be really feeble. It’s on the north side of the house but I can put the charging panel high up to catch the sun. If you’ve bought one was it worth it?

We have two solar powered fountains. One in a pond And the other as a stand alone. Both work well. The panels are on long leads and we move them around to catch the sun. The small motors are ones that store the energy, so after the sun has gone down, or on a cloudy day the pump will still run for a few hours.

Yes. DH built a pond during lockdown and we put a solar fountain in it. I am surprised how well it works tbh!

Ah that's sounds perfect, thanks for your replies, I was expecting to be told "No, don't bother, they're a waste of money". I'm delighted to hear that they work. I can't wait to get one now & finish off that project.
