And how I might get rid of it please? There's no sign of any bugs on the leaves and the damage appears to be mostly at the top 🤷🏼‍♀️

Usually slugs. They climb.

I would say leaf cutter bee or leaf cutter beetle. It won’t harm the plant and avoid spraying if you can. I have the same on my Dahlias.
