Or something with a solar panel?

And is there something you can put on a drain pipe?

Tell me all I need to know please? About water butts and irrigation and making my life easy
because I am lazy

I attached a funnel and then hose pipe to my drain pipe, run it along my vegetable patch and then poke holes in the hose pipe so the water comes out along the length.

You can also do it with a normal hose attached to a tap.

We have a hose pipe attached to a small water butt with the tap open. When the butt is full the water drains slowly into our pond to replenish it.
Downside is it only works after the rain.
We also have a mechanical timer ( Hozelock) irrigation system attached to our garden tap. It waters the greenhouse.

Maybe I need a timer and a holy hose!

Thanks need a better way

shop.irrigatia.com/

I use it for watering tomatoes from a water butt - solar powered and works well. The smaller model will water up to 20 pots.

They also have leaky hose style kits. I bought mine at the Chelsea Flower Show a few years ago and it still does a good job for me.
