Nah that's not going to happen. You can't police what other people do in in their gardens. Ban that stuff and it'll just get paved over or covered in stones. Will you want those banned as well?

Bizarre wording.

The problem with artificial grass over paving stones or the like is that the grass releases micro plastics into the environment and isn't recyclable plus it deters animals and insects from gardens so it's just bad all round for the environment.

Ban that stuff and it'll just get paved over or covered in stones. Will you want those banned as well? You already have to get planning permission for a new area of paving.

You can't police what other people do in in their gardens. Policing is a problem, but we already place limits on what people can do in their own gardens if it affects the environment, eg the Clean Air Acts.
