Morning all,
I recently ordered plants from the secret gardening club, they're small but very healthy. Anyway, they sent me a voucher for 20%off if it's any use to anyone. www.secretgardeningclub.co.uk/pages/voucher/ZPPYXJRK. I also get 20%off. Thanks.

Oooh - wasn't going to buy any more plants this year - but these are very good prices. I'm looking now, thanks OP. I like the idea, wasn't sure at first but it looks ok. Smile
Only problem is I need a bigger garden!

Runforwine · 14/07/2020 09:16

I wasn't sure at first but decide to give it ago the plants are small but very healthy. I order a mystery box on Saturday so fingers crossed. Hope you are happy with your plantsSmile

Thanks, just used the code to order a mystery box too! Can’t wait to see what I get! I imagine it is tuff they are struggling to shift, hope for a mix that includes a few perennials.

jcurve · 14/07/2020 09:55

I ordered some plants and wasn’t very impressed - they are tiny. I’ve had much better luck buying off eBay from private nurseries.

Gordonsgrin · 14/07/2020 10:09

@jcurve that’s a shame, I shall hope for better. At £1.40 per plant inc postage I am ready to accept they may not be fab. Still excited....

pandora206 · 14/07/2020 11:03

I ordered two plants but only one arrived. I've tried to contact them by email (which has bounced back twice) and via their website but heard nothing. I don't know if this is just my luck or whether others have had the same issue but I'm not impressed.

onalongsabbatical · 14/07/2020 11:12

Just ordered mystery box plus another two plants. Fingers crossed! Thanks OP.

Runforwine · 14/07/2020 12:56

These are the plants I order from them a few weeks ago, small but healthy and so far they're all thriving.

How long did they take to arrive Runforwine? I got all enthusiastic and ordered thinking it said five days but it says five days after dispatch and dispatches are delayed. I'm going away on the 31st... my bad, I know! Couldn't bloody resist plants. Grin
Your plants look lovely.

ComeBackIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/07/2020 13:14

I wa pleasantly surpised by my first (and so far only) order from them. The plants were a decent size considering the price - I've had far worse from other well-known names - and some are already flowering.

Runforwine · 14/07/2020 14:23

Onalongsabbatical they took 4 days to arrive, I'm in the east of Scotland. I just got an email from DHL to say the ones I ordered at the weekend will be arriving tomorrow. I'm sadly excited to see what plants I get.

Oh fab thank you Runforwine sounds like I'll be okay then! I'm excited too! We should post our mystery plants on the thread when we get them - maximise the excitement! Grin
It's an antidote to all the other shite going on.

fourquenelles · 14/07/2020 14:45

Oooo I ordered a mystery box from them yesterday too. I'll post a pic when they arrive.

Runforwine · 14/07/2020 14:52

I'll post a pic tomorrow , when it arrives!

onalongsabbatical · 14/07/2020 15:51

Lovely I'll post too when mine get here.

Gordonsgrin · 14/07/2020 19:02

Eeek, yes definitely yes to posting pics of boxes as they arrive.

onalongsabbatical · 14/07/2020 19:49

We might all end up wanting each other's plants! Grin

ComeBackIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/07/2020 22:00

I too would like to know what kinds of things you find in your mystery boxes ...

Runforwine · 15/07/2020 12:55

They arrive this morning in a huge box! I'm happy with them all except the alchemilla mollis, which I've just dug up. They all look healthy, although I'm not really a gardener more of a chuck it in and see. I hope you all get foods ones . They also came with a discount for 10% off Yorkshire lavender if anyone wants it YL10, I've never used them so can't say if they're any good.

onalongsabbatical · 15/07/2020 15:49

Ooo ok, mixed bag from my point of view. Bloody love delphinuims but never managed to keep them out of the slugs's stomachs - too disappointing! 3 penstemons is good! Quite a few things there I've never grown...and a couple I'm not familiar with, the tanacetum and the catanache, both of which look lovely if you google them. I'm excited for mine to come. Anyway good haul! I'll come back with mine when they come...

onalongsabbatical · 15/07/2020 15:55

That echinacea green twister is a stunner!

Runforwine · 15/07/2020 16:22

**onalongsabbatical That looks really nice. As I said I'm not really a gardener, only really started a few years ago, so I rely on books and plant apps to help with identifying plants. I am trying to slowly build up my knowledge and have found it (sadlySmile) interesting to read about the plants. Normal I just pick up what looks nicest and hope for the best.
