Help me identify this plant

Anyone know what this is? Moved into a new house and trying to get a handle on the garden! Doesn't seem to produce flowers.

Looks like Portuguese Laurel. It has small white flowers in spring, but I suspect it’s been pruned so the flower shoots have been cut off.
They do grow quickly.

Aren't the leaves too linear for Portuguese Laurel?

Thank you for that. I'm looking at other images online of Portuguese laurel and it looks slight different. Maybe another type of laurel though?
