What is this bush called? Seen it in a garden near where I work. Love the vibrant colour and how resilient it seems.

Hypericum, St Johns Wort I think.

Yes, it's hypericum. After it's flowered it will have berries on it. It's virtually indestructible so you can cut it right back if it's getting too big.

Hypericum, Rose of Sharon. May not have berries - it's Tutsan, with smaller flowers, that has the clusters of berries.

Yes you often see in in commercial planting schemes on the edges of carparks etc becuase it is so tough.
