Hi all

Crap gardener here. I have a difficult bed that nothing grows in. I bought a plant for it a few years ago and it has survived and thrived. I have another bare spot in the same bed and I’d like it buy another one but obvs I have no idea what it is.

It comes back very year.
Seems to be a on a runner/rhizome
The leaves are very coarse to touch, like a pumice stone.
Loads of white flowers that the bees love in spring. By now they have all gone.
Fairly sure I bought it from the shade tolerant section.

Thanks so much

I don't know what it is, but I think you could probably divide the whatever-it-is to provide you with a new plant rather than buying one.

not sure about your plant. But it does remind me of a story where my friend bought a plant and nurtured it for months thinking it as a sunflower an it turned out to be a weed hahahah

There is some great apps that tell you what plants are by taking a picture. The one I used had a weeks free trial then I cancelled it I can’t remember the name though

But are any of them better than te Mumsnet Gardening board?Grin

I keep meaning to get some blue comfrey to complement the white.
