Looks like chickweed

CarrieMoonbeams · 05/07/2020 13:15

I think it's chickweed too OP. If you have a rabbit or a guinea pig they'll love it.

It's got velcro like surfaces, so trying to get rid of it completely will be irritating.

It's relatively harmless and it can be fed to herbivorous pets.

Not convinced it's chickweed, which has pointed, not rounded, ends to its leaves. From the branching pattern, it looks like a Euphorbia, although if those are flower buds, they don't look like Euphorbia. All euphorbias have an unpleasant milky sap (some more unpleasant than others), so don't feed it to pets until you're sure that it's not a Euphorbia.

Is it birds foot trefoil without the yellow flowers?
Chickweed is quite soft and floppy and usually, ime, leaves the root when you try to pull it out.

MereDintofPandiculation · 06/07/2020 14:46

No, it's not birds foot trefoil - it doesn't have the trefoil leaves.

Euphorbia peplus, I think. Have a Google and see if it matches. Super easy to pull up if you don't want it!

TheFogsGettingThicker · 06/07/2020 21:25

That looks like Euphorbia peplus to me

bitofasleuth · 06/07/2020 21:29

Euphorbia (aka spurge) - don't feed it to your pets, it has nasty sap.

If you've got that much of it, wear gloves whe you pull it up, to keep the sap off your hands.
