Just a recommendation really. They have had these in a few times in their special offers. They aren’t labelled but I have bought a few this year - all different each time and they have been great so far.

Thanks. I would love to grow hostas but the slugs won't let me. I might get some as a gift for my DM.

Slugs won't let me either.

How does anyone grow host as without them being eaten? Confused

Ginfordinner · 05/07/2020 08:45

I grow mine in pots with copper tape round them. Slugs hate copper tape and won't slide over it. The problem is making sure that there aren't any slugs or snails eggs in the compost, so it is the one part of the garden where I am generous with the slug pellets. Because the hostas are in pots the local wildlife, and next door's cat can't ingest them.

I have a photo of my hostas on this thread

You can make a natural repellent with garlic (apply it with a spray bottle), which is supposed to keep the slugs and snails away.
