Too late to plant pumpkin seeds?

I've just moved an garden storage unit and underneath is bare earth. If I were to put a couple of bags of compost on top (no dig style) and pop in some pumpkin seeds are they likely to grow or have I left it too late?

If it's in full sun or half sun for the day then yes it's a good time (sometimes the autumn is even better because of the heat which they love) As long as it's warm. When it has sprouted (if the nights are cold) put a plastic bottle over it, which you have cut the base off of. Leave the top off.

Sorry I didn't look at the link.

Where in the country are you? Where we are it would probably be too late as we often get early frosts in September, if you're somewhere further south/warmer you might be ok

According to Monty Don ( last week) there is still time to plant them. Good luck!
