planting with tulips

I'm looking for advice for what to plant with tulips and alliums.
One bed in my garden looks lovely in the spring with tulips then alliums but after that its empty.
What could I plant that would fill the space and flower after the tulips/alliums but doesn't require much work.

What i don't want to do is to have to dig them up every year, so I prefer something that can co-exist if that makes sense. I think the previous owner used to put geraniums in afterwards but I'm busy at this time of year and its a job I could do without normally.
Lots of direct sunshine.
Any suggestions would be great

You could plant self seeding annuals on top like poppies, honesty, aquilegia, verbena, forget-me-nots, foxgloves, eryngium, nicotiana sylvestris, nasturtiums. They will die back in the winter but the seeds with grow back next year.

Maybe crocosmia? They flower in late summer and would fill the gaps, and they're pretty low maintenance.
