Anyone in the know about peonies?

I need a little help please. I have two kinds/colours of peonies, a pale pink and the one in the picture. This year (started last year) there are hardly any pale pink. Do you know how I can save them and if they shouldn't be planted together like they are now?

They're probably planted too deeply. Difficult to say with a photo of a vase of cut flowers

No, not deep at all. Literally a couple of cm max under the soil.

They should also be about 3ft apart.

Thanks you hasa, it's probably the three feet apart that's the problem. I'll try moving them in the autumn.
