I really need some help about laying a new lawn. I'm doing a rather large garden project and am currently at the stage where I have just dug up a 30ft long concrete garage base, so I am now left with a rather large hole.
I have cleared it out and one end you can see soil and the other end I haven't got to soil as it is the original base from when the house was built and seems to go on forever. My plan is to remove as much of the rubble as possible and the fill with top soil but my question really is should I leave a layer of rubble for drainage or not to worry about it?
Once I have filled the hole, I will then remove the rest of the grass and rotavate the whole lawn and level it out ready for turf.
Thank you
