I have a gap approx 20ft long behind a patio with an ugly trellis to disguise. Thinking of a rose hedge...anyone have any experience of growing a rose hedge? I already have a Rosa Zepherine Drouhin growing up part of the trellis & I'll plant more climbers soon. There's a lilac Solanum behind on a pergola, which is flowering beautifully & a Pyracantha with lots of white blossom right now. There are raspberry canes behind a 4ft gap. Thinking Roald Dahl x3 or a pink rose shrub with a 4ft + spread x3 in front of he raspbberry canes would be good...evergreen even better. Or other ideas??
