Bare root raspberries

I planted some bare root raspberries on 21 May but they are not showing any signs of growth yet. Is this to be expected? I know this was late for planting: unfortunately my order of fruit bushes sent early April was cancelled after five weeks due to staff illness, so I had to reorder elsewhere. The canes were planted in a trench with compost and rotted manure and have been watered regularly. Is there still hope?
Thanks

I'd say there's still hope, especially if you've been diligent with the watering. Fingers crossed for some yummy fruit next summer.

Thanks Dowermouse. You've given me hope! As I have new turf I've been watering daily especially during the drought that we've had.
