Hi. Neither Google nor iNaturalist can help us with the name of this yellow perennial. So anyone?

Looks like Sisyrinchium Striatum (Mexican satin flower).

They’re a lovely plant. I managed to get a white version from a specialist nursery. It didn’t flower the first year and I forgot what it was, but flowered magnificently this year.

How funny. These are all over Hyde Park at the moment and I wondered what they were only this morning. Good to know -I’ll add it to my shopping list.

I have those. Seek couldn't identify them either. They get everywhere.

We thought they were some more palm trees at first as they grow close to our palm and the leaves look very similar.

Yes, sisyrinchium. If it's happy, it'll self-seed all over the place. I love it because a lot of my plants are low-growing clumpy things, so it's good to have something spiky for variety.
