Yes, I planted something last year it seems but have no recollection if doing it, and have a plant I neither remember nor that looks like anything I particularly recognise.

It does look like a young viburnum tinus to me. Has it flowered this year?

It looks a lot like Honeysuckle x purpusii Winter Beauty that's in my garden.

It's not hypericum. We've got bloody tons of the stuff.
