What’s this on my palm tree?

Excuse the picture from through my blinds but there is this thing growing from the top of my ‘palm tree’... apologies I’m no gardener 🤣

Is it just an ‘off shoot’ that will grow to look the same as the other palm style leaves or should
I cut it off? It looks a bit odd atm!

It's flowering. They're not particularly attractive, I cut mine off, then the nutrients stay in the plant
